A kind, welcoming

church since 1959

Come and join us as we serve God & neighbor!

Our Worship

We celebrate worship at 8:30am on Sunday morning. You can dress casually or formally, most of us wear something in the middle. Every person is welcome to come and receive communion, regardless of your background.

Our Beliefs

We are members of the ELCA, the largest branch of Lutheranism in the United States. We confess Jesus Christ as savior and Lord, believe women and men should preach, and fully accept LGBTQ+ people as they are.

Our Youth

We firmly believe that the church has a role in raising the next generation of Christians, so that they can act with generosity and compassion, especially towards the marginalized. We have a very active Confirmation class, Sunday School, and First Communion classes.

Our History

Mt. Calvary Lutheran started as a church plant of Tamarack Lutheran Church (ELCA), located 15 minutes north of Trempealeau. We have been in the area for over 65 years, and hope to be a beacon for a kinder and more compassionate understanding of Christianity

Our Partner Congregation

We are in partnership with Tamarack Lutheran Church (ELCA), and Pr. Paul splits his time between these two congregations. Tamarack’s Worship is at 11:00am on Sunday Morning, nestled in the beautiful Norway Valley

Our Community Events

We host a variety of events for the community, including brat feeds, auctions, blood drives, community meals, rummage sales, and a Halloween Candy Giveaways!
